AI coaching for further education and apprenticeships, built from the QQI award.

Give Nova 5 a QQI award with its learning outcomes, an apprenticeship programme or your own course. In about 20 minutes it builds a programme's worth of practice mapped to each learning outcome, with a coach beside every activity on the learner's phone. Your tutors approve what it builds. Your assessors, internal verifiers and external authenticators still decide.

  • Mapped to QQI learning outcomes
  • Practice on the phone, in English or Irish
  • Self-serve, monthly, no learner minimum

In plain terms

AI coaching for Irish ETBs, FET centres, apprenticeship providers and employers.

Nova 5 is an AI coaching platform for vocational education from SupaHuman, built for Australia and New Zealand and now taking early partners in Ireland. You upload a QQI award specification at any NFQ level with its learning outcomes, an apprenticeship curriculum, a Skillnet programme or an internal course. Nova 5 builds learning and practice activities for every outcome, maps each one back to it, and gives learners a coach beside every activity. It supports teaching and learning before assessment. It is not an assessment instrument and does not make assessment decisions.

A worked example

From a QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support award to a week of practice.

Upload the award specification. Nova 5 reads the modules and their learning outcomes, decides what is worth practising, and builds it. Here is the shape of what comes back for a care skills module on communication and dignity.

THE LEARNING OUTCOME

Communicate with care, respect and dignity

The module asks the learner to adapt how they communicate to a person's needs, to recognise barriers, and to uphold dignity in personal care. Two things to know, one to do, one to be.

WHAT NOVA 5 BUILDS

A role play, a scenario and a fault finder

A voice role play with a resident who has hearing loss and is frustrated. A branching scenario on responding to a refusal of care. A fault finder with a care interaction where dignity slipped. Each mapped back to the outcome it practises.

WHAT YOUR TUTOR DOES

Reviews, approves, assigns

The tutor sees the activities, edits anything that does not match the setting, approves them, and assigns them for the week. The learner does them on their phone between placement shifts, with a coach that explains what they missed and why.

Before the assessment brief

The same engine builds practice for skills demonstrations and the learner record. A learner can rehearse a skills demonstration with the AI playing the client, as many times as they need, before the assessment. The assessment, internal verification and external authentication stay exactly where they are: with you and QQI's quality assurance.

Where it fits

Teaching and practice. Never the assessment.

ON PROGRAMME

Practice between classes

Role plays, scenarios and coached practice for each learning outcome, assigned by the tutor week by week. Progress and time on task are tracked, so you can see who practised what and evidence the learning.

BEFORE ASSESSMENT

Rehearsal before the real thing

Mock skills demonstrations with the AI as client. Preparation for the assignment and learner record that walks through what the assessor will look for. Examination-style practice where the award uses one.

NOT THE ASSESSMENT

The line we hold

Nova 5 builds practice and coaching. It does not grade, does not record achievement of outcomes and does not communicate results. Assessors assess; internal verification and external authentication stand; the learner's evidence is theirs.

Nova 5 reports time on task and activity by outcome, which you can use alongside your own records when evidencing teaching, learning and assessment under QQI quality assurance.

Questions Irish providers ask

The things to know before we talk.

Yes. Upload the award specification, or the module descriptors, and Nova 5 maps every activity it builds to a learning outcome. It works the same way with apprenticeship curricula, Skillnet programmes and internal courses. Try it with a real award in the playground first.

No. Nova 5 builds practice and coaching, including rehearsal for skills demonstrations. Your assessors assess, your internal verifiers and external authenticators check, and QQI's quality assurance applies. Nova 5 makes no grading or achievement decision.

With you as controller and SupaHuman as processor under our Data Processing Addendum, which carries the Article 28 processor terms. Data is hosted on Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia, with transfers under the DPA and EU Standard Contractual Clauses where required. Learner data is never used to train models for anyone else. If you need EU hosting, tell us in the form.

Yes. Practice is built from one source programme in the learner's language, including Irish. Tell us in the form if that matters for your provision and we will set it up with you.

The same as at home, converted: A$5 per learner a month (about €2.80) with every practice type included, plus A$10 a month (about €5.60) for each award or module Nova 5 builds and keeps current. Billed monthly through the app in Australian dollars; your card provider converts. Early partners in Ireland have no learner minimum.

In Australia and New Zealand, Nova 5 watches the national registers every month. In Ireland there is no register to watch yet, so when QQI revises an award you upload the new specification and Nova 5 rebuilds the affected practice through the same approval flow. Nothing changes without a tutor approving it.
