Nova 5 · Nova Classroom · Face-to-face delivery to the power of AI

Everything your learners get on their phone, now in the room.

Pulse checks, group exercises, quizzes, games and branching scenarios — run live by the trainer, joined by every learner from a code on the screen. The same Nova engine, the same outcomes mapping, built for a class.

Why it matters

Face-to-face is still where most VET happens. It deserves better than slides.

A room full of learners is the most expensive hour a provider delivers, and most of it is still spent on one person talking while twenty-three people wait. Nova Classroom gives the trainer a live read on the room and a way to act on it: check understanding in thirty seconds, split into groups, run the scenario together, and see who needs what before the session ends.

Every response is captured against the outcome it evidences — so the classroom hour becomes formative evidence, not a gap in the record.

What you can run

Five ways to bring the room in.

Generated from your training materials by Nova, or picked from the library in the moment. Each one runs from the trainer's screen with learners on their phones.

01 · PULSE CHECK

Pulse checks

A one-question read on the room in thirty seconds: confidence, understanding, a quick prediction. Results appear live; Nova suggests what to do with them.

Open, after a concept, before moving on

02 · GROUPS

Group exercises

Nova splits the room, hands each group a task on their phones, and pulls the answers back to the screen for comparison and debrief.

Case work, problem solving, peer review

03 · QUIZ

Quizzes

Randomised banks generated from your materials, run as a class with a live leaderboard or silently for a private check. Formative by design.

Consolidation, end of session, revision

04 · GAMES

Games

Quick Fire rounds, classify-and-sort races, fault finders — the competitive formats learners actually ask for, tied to the concept underneath.

Energy dips, dry topics, recall

05 · SCENARIO

Branching scenarios

The room votes on each decision and lives with the consequence together. The debrief writes itself when the whole class sees where the choice led.

Judgement, safety, customer situations

+ THE LIBRARY

Any Nova activity, projected

The role plays, sims and explainers your learners use on their own also run as a whole-class exercise. See the twenty activity types.

In the session

The trainer stays in charge. Nova keeps up.

Nothing runs without the trainer starting it. Results land on the screen the moment the room responds, and Nova suggests what to do with them — a follow-up question, a group split, a scenario that targets the gap. Take the suggestion or ignore it. Ask for a different activity in a sentence and it's built before the coffee break.

  • Anonymous by default for pulse checks, named for evidence — the trainer chooses per activity
  • Works on any projector or screen; learners need only a browser
  • Session summary to the trainer afterwards: who was where, and what to revisit next time

Join code on screen

Learners in within a minute. Attendance captured.

0:05

Pulse check

Where is the room on today's topic? Nova flags the weakest concept.

0:20

Trainer teaches

Nova stays quiet. The explainer is on screen if wanted.

0:40

Branching scenario

Whole class votes each step. Debrief on the fork most got wrong.

1:00

Group exercise

Four groups, one case each. Answers compared on screen.

1:20

Quiz and close

Ten questions. Summary to the trainer before they leave the room.

After the session

The classroom hour, on the record.

Every response is logged against the elements and performance criteria it evidences, and rolled into the learner's record alongside their self-paced Nova work — ready for validation.Every response is logged against the unit standard or skill standard outcome it evidences, and rolled into the learner's record alongside their self-paced Nova work — ready for moderation. Formative only: your trainers and assessors keep every competency decision.

For non-accredited delivery — inductions, short courses, workplace training — the same summary maps to the learning outcomes you set, so you can show what the session changed.
